Clam Chowder Poutine

Awesome flavor w generous portion of clams. The clams were a good size. The potato wedges were perfect crisp with fluff in it. Definitely my favorite dish there

Calamari Crudo with Ahi

AMAZING! So fresh so good so tasty, perfectly seasoned... leaves you wanting more! Paired with an iced cold Kona beer... makes me think I'm back on the big island. ;-) Nice staff, they really make sure you are well taken care of and you enjoy your meal. This place seems like a hidden spot inside South Coast Plaza, located downstairs in new COLLAGE center next to Bloomingdale's. I will be back for sure!

Grilled Fish Tacos (3)

The cod fish was FRESH. The red cabbage slaw and papaya was fresh and complimented the taco with the charred salsa.

Homemade Chicken Soup

We had the homemade chicken soup, the chicken rice bowl, and the steamed clam and mussels. The flat bread that came with the soup meals was very tasty and soft. The chicken soup was deliciously made with clear broth, but still hearty. The mirepoix in the soup was definitely fresh as the flavors jumped out. The seafood was also very fresh tasting. The chicken and rice bowl was saucy with unexpected ingredients like mushrooms. All very good, and the service was excellent. They have cocktails and a full bar which we didn't take advantage of, but we did order some juice.

Clam Chowder Poutine

Mah Johgs was such a culinary experience and I can't wait to come here again! My boyfriend and I stopped by here for a celebration and we're so happy we did. Chef Mike's warm personality compliments his food and truly completed the whole dining experience. Not to mention the eccentric decorations somehow made us feel like royalty while feeling right at home. Took us right back to home cooked meals by sharing most foods family style which we really appreciated Chef Mikes Omakase recommendations seriously blew us away. We let him know what foods we liked/ didn't and he brought out perfect dishes for our party. Clam chowder poutine: what a delectable take on a classic dish. Giant seasoned potato wedges, fried to perfection smothered with a rich "clam chowder" gravy loaded with clams bits and topped off with even more clams and green onions. Probably my favorite dish we tasted and I don't even like clams! Mah Jong's Burger: a mouth watering burger with a delicious aioli and juicy wagyu beef that was cooked to perfection. We asked for medium rare and actually GOT medium rare. Chef Mike mentioned something about the bun's being different but the baguette that he served us the burger on was toasted and tasted amazing! Served with those amazing potatoes wedges from the poutine Hoisin Baby Back Ribs: a fall off the bone - rib with a tangy punchy sauce. We had to fight over these because one person ate half the dish! Topped with some green onions, these were so tasty we got two dishes! (also why some are missing in the picture) Calamari Crudo: fresh from the ocean calamari, seasoned beautifully and made me feel like I was at the beach! I unfortunately don't drink but the bartender really seemed to know her way around drinks and gave great recommendations to everyone (I know because everyone ordered at least 3 drinks of the ones she recommended) and I don't know the name of the dessert, but the fried cheesecake bites with caramel sauce- they need to bottle that sauce and sell it because I caught people licking it off the plate. It was perfectly fried and light so I didn't feel like exploding after all the food we ate. Bottom line- Mah Jongs is a restaurant where you'll feel like you're having a family reunion (the fun kind) with amazing staff, food, drinks, and beautiful decor.

We try the popular dish homemade chicken soup on a cooling day, feel warm and delicious. The umami of the soup brings me back to my childhood. My hometown is famous for making chicken soup in china.

Mah Jong's Burger

One of the best burgers I've ever had. The bold and intense flavors made this burger stand out as one of the best burgers I've ever had. The bun was even prepared different, with a nice toasted crunch on the outside, something Mike was very proud of and I can see why. Paired with massive wedge potato "Fries" which made the meal even better. You can tell a lot of thought went into this dish. When you're craving a burger, this is the burger that will satisfy that craving!!!

Homemade Chicken Soup

My favorite chicken Noodle Soup! We were waiting for seating at another restaurant when we found a bar downstairs with a friendly staff! They served us a few minutes before they opened and we had the fish tacos and chicken soup. The soup was delicious and tasted like it came from Mikes grandmother's kitchen. Very hearty with chunks of chicken. We have been back multiple times and have gotten the soup each time. The poke, fish tacos and wedge fries were also very good. Highly recommend mah Jong!

Homemade Chicken Soup

The Homemade Chicken Soup. Wow. When I was 7 years old in China I had cancer. I was deathly ill and my (now deceased) mom made me chicken soup everyday. It was the only thing I could keep down. When I saw this on the menu I thought nothing of it; every restaurant has chicken soup. When the waiter brought it out I was immediately moved. Chef Mike captured the aromas and essences of my childhood. The first spoonful into my mouth can only be explained as medicine for the soul. In these troubling times the future looks bleak. Luckily, Chef Mike can remind me of the past.
